Several charitable organisations stand to benefit from the annual Tshwane All White Jazz and Soul Festival scheduled for this weekend at the Morula Gold Rush, formerly known as Morula Sun in Mabopane north of Pretoria.

This is by far the biggest Jazz and Soul Festival in Gauteng and this year celebrates 10 years of its existence.

Organisers will embark in a charity drive prior and post the event which will see several children’s home and child headed families receive donations of food parcels, clothing and stationary promotes.

Organiser Thabiso Mosima says fans will among others enjoy the performances of seasoned artists such as Lady Zamar, Mafikizolo and Something Soweto.

“The main objective of this event is to make sure people can unite dressed in white and raise funds that will benefit the needy. For the past ten years we’ve been working with charity and child headed homes and a certain portion of our proceeds are donated to those families. So its not just a music event, but its an event that is rooted within our community and benefits our community.”
