Bafana Bafana midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala is confident that the men’s senior national team has the right players to win the upcoming two World Cup qualifiers against Senegal.

Tshabalala, who boasts 90 caps for Bafana Bafana, returned to the national setup after a three year absence.

“I think we are in a situation where we are in control. It’s in our hands, we don’t have to wait for anyone to drop points so that we can qualify it’s just on the table…win two games and you are through. It’s a tough hurdle but I believe we have the quality and have strong ammunition to overcome this,” says Tshabalala.

The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has been on form for his club in recent seasons and he believes the timing for his call up to Bafana Bafana was perfect considering the importance of the upcoming two back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against Senegal.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune started jogging on Wednesday morning and is likely to play in the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier against Senegal.
