Glad Africa Championship team TS Galaxy will take on Nedbank Ke Yona team in the Ke Yona challenge match at the Kammelrivier stadium in KwaNdebele on Sunday afternoon.

Galaxy won the competition early this year after they beat Kaizer Chiefs in the final. 18 players who were part of the Ke Yona search programme were selected from a group of trialists from across the country.

Tobie Badenhorst, who is from the sponsors, says the tickets for the match will be free of charge with tickets accessed at Computicket.

All the 18 players will be drafted into all the 16 PSL teams with the remaining two drafted into the TS Galaxy team.

PSL teams can decide if they want to sign players who impress them or not. Badenhorst says the draft will take place on the 1st of next month.

This programme has already produced prominent players such as Aubrey Modiba from SuperSport United and Bongani Sam from Highlands Park. Badenhorst says they will also provide life skills to the players.

Thulani Cele will be part of the Ke Yona team on Sunday. Cele is an all-rounder who can play in many positions but will play as a right back against Galaxy.

He was at the Sundowns Under-15 and 17 and Bidvest Wits Under-19 academies. He is confident they will become the first team to win against the champions since 2013.

Thabiso Lebitso will captain the Ke Yona team. He also plays for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) varsity cup team.

He is also taking part in the varsity cup which is currently taking place at the moment. He is optimistic that they will prevail on Sunday.
