The Travel Indaba will this year showcase everything Africa has to offer to the world.
Tourism South Africa has given the media a preview of the annual Indaba that will take place from May 2-4 in Durban.
Chief Convention Bureau Officer at SA Tourism, Amanda Coetzee Nhlapo, says part of the focus will be to bring more innovation to the tourism industry and sell Africa as a top tourist destination.
“We enhance things like helping people with their app; make sure that we have better diary systems so that the meetings can happen because at the end of the day we all are looking for business. The other thing that is really going to be different this year is that we are taking our welcome event outside the convention centre. I think it’s important that we also showcase to our visitors what this beautiful destination can offer and what is the culture. We want to have a bus, some activity in Durban, in Florida road.”
