There is heavy police presence at the old Putco bus depot in Marabastad in Pretoria ahead of the march to the Transport Department headquarters and the Union Buildings by taxi operators.
Earlier this morning, traffic was disrupted at major routes in the northern parts of Pretoria. It’s still fairly quite at the bus depot where the march will commence. It’s mostly taxi leaders who have arrived and they say there expecting thousands of taxi operators from across Gauteng and some parts of Mpumalanga.
Traffic hasn’t been disrupted yet in the CBD. Meanwhile, in Atteridgeville and most parts of Pretoria West, taxis are operating as usual without any reported disruptions.
