Transnet Group Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Mahomedy, has taken the stand at the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture in Parktown, Johannesburg.

Last week, the parastatals Executive Manager for Governance, Pete Volmink, appeared before the commission – revealing that the company was making payments to the McKinsey consulting agency before contracts had formally been awarded.

He said McKinsey unbundled its contracts into smaller components to get the approval of then Transnet chief executive Brian Molefe.
