Road Traffic Management Cooperation CEO Advocate Makhosini Msibi says traffic officers are ready to make sure that the road fatalities are reduced this festive season.
Msibi was speaking on the N1 near Bela Bela in Limpopo where Transport Minister Joe Maswanganyi was launching the road safety campaign.
He says traffic officers are determined to ensure that there is a smooth flow of transport these holidays.
“We can assure you if motorists behave road users and pedestrians behave. We are going to have the lowest figures this year as we say road safety is everybody’s responsibility. But on our roads, we are going to make sure that we arrest people driving under the influence of alcohol and we will deal with each and every lawlessness on our roads,” says Msibi.
