Traffic going into KZN continues to increase

Traffic volumes on the N3 southbound heading towards KwaZulu-Natal have continued to increase as holiday makers make their way to the city of Durban.

N3 Toll Concession says traffic volumes on the southbound have been rising since five o’clock in the morning with over 1 500 vehicles recorded per hour.

N3TC operations manager, Thania Dhoogra says “These volumes are expected to last throughout the day well into the afternoon. There are no incidents disrupting the traffic flow on the route. The weather conditions are reported as overcast on the N3 route.:

“Motorists are urged to adjust their driving according to the conditions. Maintain safe following safe distance. Law enforcement is safe on the routes conducting driver and vehicle checks. Emergency services and N3TC route services are on hand to assist in emergencies.”
