A truck has crashed into a Lamborghini Gallado on the R102 southbound between Phoenix and Mount Edgecombe, north of Durban.

It’s alleged that the truck veered off the road onto other motor vehicles and collided with the sports car.

Spokesperson from a private security company, Reaction Unit South Africa, Prem Balram, responded to the scene and says no injuries were reported.

“We were informed by several passing motorists that a heavy motor vehicle and a light motor vehicle had collided. Reaction officers and paramedics had arrived on the scene. The driver of the light motor vehicle was travelling on the southerly direction when the heavy motor vehicle veered onto his lane causing extensive damages to the left-hand side of his Lamborghini.”

Meanwhile, two people have been killed and 13 others injured in a crash near UMzimkhulu at the Harry Gwala District in southern KwaZulu-Natal.

Provincial Emergency Medical Rescue Service Spokesperson Robert Mckenzie says the cause of the crash is unknown.

“A minibus has overturned and tragically two people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. Paramedics from KZN emergency medical services treated 13 patients at the scene for critical and serious injuries before transporting them to the hospital for further care. The exact cause of this crash is not known at this stage.”
