Cape Town based global media agency, Carat, says the games will be driven by Facebook , Twitter, Google and YouTube. Head of Carat, Greg Viljoen, says this year’s event will be the first social games, ushering in an era which will see spectators engage. The SABC is the official broadcaster of the 2012 London Olympic Games locally. The public broadcaster will deliver all Olympic sporting codes on its three television channels and all radio stations. SABC 2 will broadcast the opening ceremony tonight. SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says SABC 2 has launched a show Hello London that will update scores, while the other channels will broadcast different events and highlights.
