African National Congress (ANC) deputy president David Mabuza, chairperson Gwede Mantashe, former treasurer-general Zweli Mkhize along with KwaZulu-Natal provincial leaders have gathered at the grave of Josiah Gumede in Mountain Rise in Pietermaritzburg.

The move is part of activities to celebrate the ANC’s 106th anniversary.
SACP general-secretary Blade Nzimande has congratulated the ANC on the anniversary.
He has called for the newly-elected ANC leaders to focus on uniting the party.
Mabuza is yet to address the gathering that hundreds of party members are attending.
