Singer Janelle Monae, composer Lin-Manuel Miranda and fashion designer Tom Ford were among the guests arriving on Monday for one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year – New York’s Met Gala.
The theme of this year’s gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.”
US first lady Jill Biden helped celebrate the opening of the costume exhibition earlier on Monday. The exhibit will officially open to the public on May 3 after the fundraising event.
Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King, and Lin-Manuel Miranda all serve as the event’s co-hosts.
This year marks the first May ball since the pandemic.
