DA leader Mmusi Maimane says it is because of corruption that millions of young people are unemployed.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane says the time for South Africans to be fooled is over. He says when the DA takes over government, it will ensure that at least one person in every household is employed throughout the country.

Dumelang. This election coming up on the 8th of May is about the choice that we have to make about the future of South Africa.

We have a choice to choose change that will help build #OneSAforAll.

“40% of our households in South Africa do not have an income.

Their main source of survival is grant.

What we want in South Africa is A Job in Every Home.” – @MmusiMaimane#ChangeChooseDay#ChooseDay pic.twitter.com/rvhwzI34Ps

Maimane was in Tembisa, East of Johannesburg, launching a #ChangeChooseDay post on Tuesday. He says it is because of corruption that millions of young people are unemployed.

“We want to make sure that citizens, especially those who stay in homes who depend on grant income, can have a job in their homes. And what we are very clear of is that corruption has stolen from our economy…and Bosasa was a partnership between the ANC and Gavin Watson, that’s why he gave them money to campaign and gave them war rooms. It’s a triangle of government and corruption.”

The govt has made them pensioners at a young age.

The DA has responded in defence of the party councillor who’s seen in a video circulating on social media allegedly trying to pull down black business advertising posts in Tshwane. On the video, the councillor who’s dressed in DA regalia is seen trying to hang DA election posters.

The party’s Gauteng premier Candidate, Solly Msimanga says the person who took the video is an ANC councillor who is just applying cheap politics in a matter that has now been blown out of proportion. He spoke to the media in the campaign trail in Tembisa.

“That is a ward councillor who had applied and followed bylaws to say, as much as we want people to advertise and business to thrive, there’s bylaws. The unfortunate person who was taking the same video is an ANC councillor who has gone against the rules and we are saying there is no way that we will prosper if the rule of law becomes secondary anyway.”

WATCH: @MmusiMaimane unpack our agenda to put A Job in Every Home!

Too many homes don’t even have a single breadwinner.

We have a plan to put a job in every home & transform SA. ??
