A worker of the Seaview Predator Park on the outskirts of Gqeberha has been killed by one of the tigers at the park.
The park says in a statement David Solomon died when he was attacked by the Siberian tiger that got out of its enclosure.
The owners of the park says the electric fencing of the enclosure was being repaired when the tiger jumped on the exterior fence.
The deceased was walking in the passageway between the enclosures at the time and tried to flee but was attacked by the tiger.
The tiger then jumped into the adjacent tiger enclosure killing another male Siberian tiger.
Solomon worked at the Seaview Predator Park for 15 years.
