KwaZulu-Natal police have confirmed that three people have been shot and killed in kwaMakhutha in Durban in a drive-by shooting.
Police spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele says police officers are currently at the scene. While details around the cause of the incident remain sketchy, Mbhele says tensions are high in the area.
It is believed that the three victims were taken to a local clinic for medical assistance, where they died. Mbhele confirmed that the victims were between the ages 25 and 28. She added that several others were taken to hospital.
