Three of the five awaiting trial prisoners who escaped in Margate on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast will appear at Ramsgate Magistrate court on Monday.
The trio is facing charges of escaping from police custody. Two other suspects are still at large.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane explains…
“The incident was reported around ten o’clock in the morning when these suspects allegedly broke through the roof and they escaped. Five escaped and they were on the run and the police started to look for these suspects and three of them were rearrested yesterday and they will be facing charges of escaping from local custody.”
