Three children who have been reported missing at Lephepane village outside Tzaneen in Limpopo have been found alive.

The children aged between six and 12 disappeared on Saturday on their way to visit a relative at Mogoboya village, 15 kilometres away from their home.

They had allegedly proceeded to visit another relative in whose house they slept. The relative did not inform their parents.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe has warned parents to be vigilant about children’s safety.

He says, “We want to take this opportunity as the SAPS in Limpopo to caution members of the community especially parents to take care of their children. We can not expect so young children to travel or walk such long distances alone.”

“We are therefore calling upon members of the community to cooperate with us and let child safety come first,” says Ngoepe.
