Thirteen people have been killed in a crash near Mqanduli in the Eastern Cape. The people were killed after the bakkie in which they were travelling overturned
Transport spokesperson, Khuselwa Rantjie, says a number of people who were injured have been admitted to hospital. She says Transport MEC, Weziwe Tikana has wished those in hospital a speedy recovery.
According to Rantjie, the incident occurred at about 5 o’clock on R411 between Mqanduli and Coffee Bay. Thirteen people were killed including a young girl while others were transported to Zithulele Hospital.
“It is alleged that the driver lost control and the vehicle left the road,” says Rantjie.
