There’s so much more we can do in order to protect Women’s Rights, says Mlambo-Ngcuka

Outgoing Executive Director of UN Women, Dr Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka says her time at the United Nations has been filled with highs and lows.

In an exclusive interview with SABC News, Mlambo-Ngcuka says in the last eight years she has worked tirelessly to make sure that women of the world live in countries where their rights are recognized and realized.

Mlambo-Ngcuka says: “Over the last few years we have helped countries to change 35 constitutions that discriminated against women and we also made sure that while we are changing laws we are changing the norms because as you know you can change the law but the norms if they don’t change you don’t actually feel and see change.”
