The City of Tshwane is going to be a battleground after the results are declared, with the ANC projected to win just 0.3% more votes than the DA (according to the CSIR). It’s close in the City of Johannesburg as well, with the ANC expected to win 34.8% to the DA’s 29.2%. ActionSA will be the kingmakers, with a projected 12.5% of the vote. The ANC should beat the DA in Ekurhuleni by about 10%, but will still garner less than 50% of votes.
