President Jacob Zuma will deliver his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2013. The theme for the 2013 State of the Nation Address is socio-economic development through oversight and public participation. President Zuma is to deliver the address at 19h00. The SONA will then be debated on 19 and 20 February with the President replying to the debate on 21 February. As per tradition Zuma is to address a Joint Sitting of the National Assembly (NA) and the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) of Parliament. The address will be broadcast live on SABC 2 from 18:00 on 14 February 2013 as well as streamed live on http://www.sabc.co.za/news
