The family of the late actor, Thapelo Maropefela, says they are still trying to deal with their loss as he had a positive outlook on life.
Maropefela, who is popularly known as Karabo on the SABC 1 drama series “The Kingdom”, passed away on Sunday on the eve of his 25th birthday.
The family has not divulged the cause of death, although the actor and model was recently assaulted by a security guard in Maboneng Johannesburg and subsequently hospitalised.
Family Spokesperson Glen Masokoana says he was a loving young man who still had great plans for the future.
“Thapelo was a very spiritual person, (who) always believed in speaking out positivity and aligning his energy towards good things. He was very passionate about his work and talent. He was focused on mastering his skills and he loved his family and friends. He gave the biggest hugs. Even during tough times, he would really be positive.”
