Telkom Group has announced that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sipho Maseko, will step down from his position on 30 June 2022 after eight years on the job.
Under Maseko’s leadership, Telkom’s mobile business grew to become the third-largest in South Africa with more than 15 million customers generating R20 billion revenue.
In a statement, Telkom said it is in the process of finding Maseko’s successor who would be announced in the not too distant future. Telkom’s shares slumped by over 3% following the announcement.
