Team South Africa(SA) has won its first medals of the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, two golds.
Ntando Mahlangu won Team South Africa’s second gold medal on day four of the games after setting a new world record of 7.17 metres to win the T63 long jump event.

This came just minutes after reigning world champion, Anrune Weyers, had won the T47 400 metres final to win gold and also become a paralympic champion.
Weyers won in 56.05 seconds to clinch gold.
