The South African Delegation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, is expected to brief the media later on Tuesday.
South Africa aims to use the event to improve its international standing as an investment destination amid the slowing economy and financial difficulties that some of its state-owned companies are facing.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and Finance Minister Tito Mboweni are leading the team at the largest gathering of business leaders and government.
Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies say progress has been made since last year.
“We’re doing a number of things, including the work around skills development, research there’s roll out of technology in SA, encouraging entrepreneurs to be innovative.”
