Taxi associations in Johannesburg have welcomed governments decision to sanitise their ranks.
On Thursday morning, Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula, was at the Bree taxi rank to ensure that the rank, vehicles and passengers’ hands are being sanitised.
Farady taxi association member Sihle Makhanya says, “I’m happy with this process, I am afraid of this disease. So if our passengers are getting a chance to be sanitised it is a good thing.”
”I appreciate what the government has done for us and this is going to help us in the future.”
