Tambo’s name used to insult other ANC comrades: Zuma

President Jacob Zuma is delivering the keynote address for the OR Tambo lecture at the Chief Mogale Community Hall in Kagiso, west of Johannesburg. President Zuma says some people use the name of African National Congress (ANC) anti-apartheid struggle stalwart, Oliver Reginald Tambo, not to unite but to insult other ANC comrades.

A host of events are being held this year to mark the 100th birthday of Tambo. President Zuma says he will hand over leadership reigns at the end of this year, but he is not leaving the ANC – just the leadership.
