Sudan agrees to compensate families of USS Cole victims – state news agency

Sudan has agreed to compensate the families of sailors killed in an al Qaeda attack on the USS Cole warship 20 years ago, state news agency SUNA said on Thursday, part of government efforts to remove the country from a list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Some economists have warned that the World Bank’s new forecast for South Africa’s economic growth might be too optimistic for the country to realise.

World Bank revises SA’s growth to 0.9%

The World Bank has cut economic growth for South Africa to below 1% for 2020 due to electricity supply concerns, among other things. The bank now forecasts the country’s growth at 0.9%.
