Ethiopia has reported its first death of a COVID-19 patient, a 60-year old woman who was in treatment at a hospital in the capital since March 31, the Health Minister Lia Tadesse said on Sunday.
Two Ethiopians are using their water trucks to supply water to street children around the capital, Addis Ababa, to clean themselves during this COVID-19 period. Specific services for the homeless to be protected during this COVID-19 are yet to be announced by the government.
Ethiopia has postponed parliamentary elections scheduled for August due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Sixty-four people believed to be migrants from Ethiopia have been found dead in a container attached to a truck in Mozambique, provincial migration authorities and the police said on Tuesday.
