The number of COVID-19 cases in the Department of Correctional Services has increased with nine officials that tested positive for Covid-19, thus bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 94.
Correctional Services Minister Ronald Lamola says over 260 inmates are being tested at the East London Correctional Services centre in the Eastern Cape after 26 positive COVID-19 cases were recorded at the centre, including three inmates and 23 staff members.
