Eskom head of generation Matshela Koko has confirmed that he has been suspended.
He has taken to Twitter saying he received a letter of suspension with new charges Wednesday night but adds that he’s determined to clear his name.
Last Friday Koko won a Labour Court application preventing Eskom from firing him. Since the new board took over about two weeks ago, several Eskom executives have resigned or suspended.
On Wednesday, Chief Information Officer, Sean Maritz, was suspended pending an investigation into his dealings with consulting firm McKinsey.
