An African National Congress (ANC) councillor, Mzukisi Molosi has been shot and killed outside his house in Knysna in the Southern Cape.
Police say the ward eight councillor had just left a meeting on Monday night when several shots were fired. He died on the way to hospital.
The Executive Mayor of the Knysna Municipality, Mark Willemse says they are devastated by the loss of a colleague who selflessly served the Greater Knysna with pride and dignity.
Molosi is survived by his wife and four children.
