Suspected hijackers found dead in Mpumalanga

Police in Mpumalanga are investigating a case of a suspected mob attack after three men, accused of a string of minibus hijackings in the area, were found dead.

The fourth man has been admitted to hospital. The four men were allegedly kidnapped and then tortured. Police spokesperson, Leonard Hlathi says they were found at the offices of taxi operators in Vosman.

“They were then pointed to offices of taxi people that the people were inside there, however unfortunately these people had already been killed and one was still alive for which an ambulance was organized so that he can be safe from whatever injuries he suffered during the atrocious act that happened on them. According to him, preliminary information that we got from him, is that they were beaten and forced to drink acid.”
