A multi-disciplinary team consisting of various police units have arrested seven suspected gang members in the Blue Downs cluster.
Cape Town Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk says the suspects, aged between 25 and 36 were apprehended early this morning. They are facing charges in terms of the Prevention of Organized Crime Act.
During the raid in Blue Downs, a substantial amount of cash, two hard drives and six cellular telephones were seized. Western Cape Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Khombinkosi Jula has commended the officers for affecting the arrests.
