Suspect killed following attempted armed robbery at Cresta mall

Between five and seven armed men stormed an electronics shop in one of Johannesburg's most popular shopping malls - Cresta Shopping Centre.

At least one suspect has been killed and another arrested in Soweto after as many as seven men attempted to rob the Dion Wired store at the Cresta shopping Mall in Randburg, Gauteng.

A security guard was wounded in the shooting and is being treated in hospital.

Police have recovered two firearms and a vehicle.
