The suspects were arrested in Kliprivier south of Johannesburg on Thursday.

A 35-year old man is in custody for the murder of a 79-year old woman in Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape.
The suspect was arrested by the police with the assistance of the community. The Eastern Cape Safety and Liaison MEC, Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe, condemned the brutal murder, but commended the action of the community working with the police to apprehend the suspect.
The woman lived alone and it is suspected she was murdered in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 35-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Cofimvaba Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of murder.
Two suspects killed after OR Tambo Airport robbery

Meanwhile, police have arrested seven suspects following an armed robbery at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. In a statement, police say the suspects had held staff at gunpoint and robbed a warehouse of personal protective equipment as well as three crates containing cellphones. Two suspects were shot dead while four others sustained serious injuries. A bystander was also hit by a stray bullet.

Police say they swiftly recovered the stolen cargo after they pursued the suspects following the armed robbery at the warehouse at the airport. Five firearms were recovered.

The suspects were driving a truck and a bakkie when they made off with the stolen goods.

A civilian in the vicinity also sustained a gunshot wound apparently by a stray bullet.  The arrested suspects will be appearing at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charges of armed robbery.
