Supersport United in 1-1 draw with Bloemfontein Celtic

Reading Time: < 1 minute

MTN-8 defending champions, SuperSport United came from behind to force a 1-all draw against a tricky Bloemfontein Celtic at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

Celtic, who dominated the opening half, allowed SuperSport to come back into the match in the second half.  But the two sides had to settle for a stalemate.

However, the Free State side should be the happier of the two sides after managing to score an away goal.

SuperSport will travel to Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium for the second leg clash next weekend.

Captain Ndumiso Mabena who was back in the starting line-up for Celtic gave Siwelele a well-deserved lead in the 14th minute.

It started raining at half time but that did not stop Zambian forward Ghampani Lungu to find the equaliser for SuperSport five minutes after restart.
