Sun International welcomes lifting of inter-provincial travel ban

Sun International has welcomed President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of inter-provincial travel under level 2 of the lockdown.

In a televised address to the nation on Saturday, Ramaphosa announced that the will be moving to level two of the lockdown from midnight on Monday, allowing for inter-provincial travel.

This while, tobacco and alcohol sales will also be allowed, subject to certain restrictions.

Sun International COO Graham Wood says: “We at Sun International are delighted to hear the news that the country is moving to lockdown Level 2. We are especially grateful for the relaxation of the inter-provincial travel restrictions because this will allow the domestic travel industry to start moving. This also has a big bearing on a resort like Sun City and we will be making some announcements has to when the resort will be reopening in due course.”
