According to the World Health Organisation Internationally close to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds.
Mental Health Portfolio Manager at Pharma Dynamics, Shouqat Mugjenker, says that in South Africa depression is very common.
“About one in five people suffer from depression, even more scary than that, at any given point in time 30% of the population will suffer from depression at some point in their life.”
