The COVID-19 economic fallout will push Sub-Saharan Africa into its first recession in 25 years.
This is according to the World Bank’s Africa’s Pulse report, giving details of the impact of the pandemic on the region.
It predicts Sub-Saharan Africa’s economy will contract by 3.3 percent this year, threatening to push 40 million people into extreme poverty.
