Amakhosi opened the score in the 36th minute after striker Samir Nurkovic’ header of a beautiful cross by midfielder Lebogang Manyama.

Kaizer Chiefs’ dream to extend the lead with three points at the top failed towards the end of the match when Cole Alexander scored in the 90th minute to equalize for Bidvest Wits 1-1 in the Premier Soccer League match at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.

Amakhosi opened the score in the 36th minute after striker Samir Nurkovic’ header of a beautiful cross by midfielder Lebogang Manyama.

This comes a night after the league contenders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates played to a goalless draw. This result means Chiefs only managed to get a point, four points ahead of The Brazilians who have a game in hand with 49 points on top.

Friday sees Chippa United take on Cape Town City FC at Orlando Stadium.

Kick-off at 15:30, while Cape Town City FC welcome Mamelodi Sundowns at Dobsonville Stadium.
