The Cape Town Weather Office says strong winds in the Peninsula will persist until Saturday afternoon. Winds of up to 60 kilometres per hour have been experienced in some places.
“We expect the wind to persist throughout the night into tomorrow as well and will start blowing again tomorrow afternoon and with that said we have a cut off low pressure system which is an upper air system that will produce that will produce rain and showers but will be strictly confined along the South Coast,” says Weather forecaster, Matshidiso Mogale .
