The 7th annual Standard Bank Rising Star awards took place on Thursday and winners were announced after hundreds of entries were submitted.
Over the years the awards have identified, recognised and celebrated young talented individuals across all industries in South Africa.
The Rising Star Programme aims at also establishing young professionals and entrepreneurs through development and mentoring that will enable them to become opinion leaders and role models
Media and Advertising winner, Boitumelo Mmakau says the award has confirmed the right path she is taking, “the award has uplifted me to keep going.”
Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure winner, Sizwe Mdladla says the Rising star initiative creates opportunities and exposure for young people.
