Springboks to play Tests against Georgia in Gauteng

SA Rugby has confirmed that the two Tests against Georgia, as a precursor to the series against the British and Irish Lions, will be played in Gauteng.

The Springboks will make their return to action at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Friday, the second of July, in the first Test against Georgia.

It will also be their first outing since the Rugby World Cup final on 2nd November 2019 and Jacques Nienaber’s debut as head coach.

The second Test against Georgia is scheduled for Ellis Park, a week later.

Both matches will kick off at seven o’clock in the evening and due to COVID-19 regulations, no spectators will be allowed to attend.
