The Springbok Women’s Rugby team is honing in on a first win at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in the only way they know how by continuing to work hard at practice with no days off.

Springbok tighthead prop Babalwa Latsha, was named in the Rugby World Cup team of the weekend, an accolade that throws light on the Boks’ set pieces and indicates that they are on the right track.

The key for this weekend will be to impose their structured play on an unstructured opponent, but an opponent that Latsha says she is looking forward to fronting up to.

‘’We have Fiji to prepare for, and they present a completely different challenge.’’

The players in the team are in a positive frame of mind in what is almost certainly one of the most mentally demanding weeks of Rugby in their careers.

England and France currently top Pool C, with five log points each. South Africa and Fiji are yet to record a log point, with the Springbok Women in third place on the ladder due to a better points difference to Fiji.

South Africa will play Fiji on Sunday morning in a Pool C clash, which is a must-win for both sides.
