The Sevens team is expected to win a gold medal in Tokyo after earning a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil.

Springbok Sevens rugby team wing Siviwe Soyizwapi says they are looking forward to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in Japan.

The Sevens team is expected to win a gold medal in Tokyo after earning a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil.

The 26-year-old Mthatha-born speedster became the integral part of the team after the departure of star player Seabelo Senatla.

Soyizwapi was made a stand-in captain of the team after the injury to another star player Philip Snyman.

The Blitzboks finished third in the recent World Series which was won by Fiji. The third place finish ensured that they qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.

Soyizwapi is hoping they will do well in Tokyo.
