Spar Proteas Netball team prepared for New Zealand and England

The Proteas came close to beating world champions, the Australian Diamonds, in their last Quad Series match, which they lost by only four goals.

The Spar Proteas netball team are looking forward to testing themselves against some of the other powerhouses of world netball, New Zealand and England, in the home leg of the Netball Quad Series at the Standard Bank Arena in Johannesburg this week.

The Proteas came close to beating world champions, the Australian Diamonds, in their last Quad Series match, which they lost by only four goals.

In preparation for Thursday evening’s game against the New Zealand Silver Ferns, the SA side has focused specifically on countering their opponents’ playing style and strengths.

Captain Bongi Msomi says they’re excited to grab the opportunity to further close the gap on the top teams in the world.
