Agang SA leader, Andries Tlouamma, says South Africans owe the late former president of the Bophuthatswana homeland Lucas Mangope an apology.
Tlouamma, who was campaigning for his party in Jericho near Brits in the North West, said the current government had allowed corruption to continue without taking action against implicated leaders.
Tlouamma says Bophuthatswana was a better administration.
“Wherever Mr Mangope is, I think we must apologise to him on these two bases: 1, We took him out of power before 1994, through a little bit of a coup. We promised our people that we are getting rid of Bophuthatswana for bringing the best future for them. What happened, we are moving from Bophuthatswana to hopelessness which was Gupta and Supra Mahumapelo. So, we need to fight corruption here.”
