The South African producers and creators of one of the country’s first fully-fledged horror flicks, titled “8”, is currently in Canada where the film is having its world première, before being distributed internationally.
Cape Town-based independent production company, “Man Makes A Picture”, says the movie has been invited to be screened at the prestigious 23rd annual Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal.
The company says it expects the film, starring Garth Breytenbach, Inge Beckmann, Keita Luna and Tshamano Sebe to do well at the festival, because it hinges on African mythology and folklore, which the West hasn’t seen yet.
