The South African Council for the Blind has welcomed the launch of the book Blindness and the power of Inner Vision which is out in print and in braille. It’s written by Dr. Hilary Marlow.

The book by the United Kingdom-based author is a biography of Advocate RW Bowen, one of the founders of the South African National Council for the Blind.

It was launched in Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape, in partnership with the South African National Council for the Blind.

Council chairperson, Xolisa Yekani says the book acknowledges Bowens contribution to the council.

“We are delighted the book has been launched because it speaks volumes about the contribution that it has done by this giant, Mike Bowen who himself is blind, who played a critical role to make sure the council exists, so generation to come are going to learn from the book, the contribution it has made.
